As Missouri medical marijuana sales reported to the state cracked the $70 million mark last week, Springfield’s Parkcrest neighborhood got a dispensary.
Shango Missouri at Parkcrest is open for business at 3903 S. Campbell Ave., the company said Friday.
Dispensary general manager Matt Warne told the News-Leader Tuesday the store offers roughly 70 cannabis products to patients, and business was picking up as the holiday weekend ended.
Shango will give a 10 percent discount every day to seniors, as well as to veterans and people on active duty with the military, the company said. The new dispensary is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the news release.
Shango said it plans to open a second dispensary in Springfield’s Plaza Center; state records show a Shango subsidiary, Mo Retail Products Group Inc, holds a dispensary license there, at 1868 S. Glenstone Ave. Warne, the dispensary manager, said he expects it to be open in August.
